The Madhya Pradesh government has recently issued new transfer orders for eight Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, rearranging their postings in various districts and city police units. These orders, released by the Home Department, involve officers from the 2022 batch and aim to ensure a balanced distribution of law enforcement leadership throughout the state.
One significant change involves Ayush Jakhar, who has been appointed as Additional Superintendent of Police for Jabalpur district, having previously served as Sub-Divisional Officer of Police in Karera, Shivpuri. This transfer has attracted attention due to Jakhar’s recent involvement in a high-profile incident where he filed a police complaint against the son of a BJP leader, sparking discussions in political and administrative circles.
In addition to Jakhar, Anu Beniwal has been moved from ASP Gwalior to ASP Jabalpur, while Omprakash has been reassigned from SDOP Lanji in Balaghat to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-3, Indore City Police. The reshuffle also includes Karandeep, Gaurav Pandey, Mini Shukla, Raj Krishna, and Sujawal Jagga, each being transferred to different key positions across various districts and city police zones.
These transfers highlight the government’s strategy of deploying young officers from the 2022 batch in crucial roles to enhance operational efficiency and bring new vigor to the police force. Such frequent reshufflings of IPS officers in Madhya Pradesh are part of the state’s proactive policing approach, aimed at addressing evolving law and order challenges while maintaining administrative equilibrium.
