Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla revealed that the state has achieved the top position in the country in the Anaemia Mukt Bharat (AMB) Scorecard 2025-26, boasting an AMB Index score of 92.1. This accomplishment underscores the state government’s dedicated efforts and successful strategies in enhancing maternal and child health while combating anaemia. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla commended various healthcare entities for their contributions to this national recognition, emphasizing the government’s continuous commitment to health improvement initiatives.
Rajendra Shukla, overseeing the state’s Health department, expressed Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to sustaining its exceptional performance in healthcare. Notably, the state excelled in Iron-Folic Acid supplementation coverage, achieving significant percentages across different age groups and demographics. Following Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana jointly secured the second position, while Tamil Nadu ranked third nationally in the AMB Index.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla affirmed the state government’s resolve to build upon its achievements and enhance health outcomes further. He reiterated the state’s focus on maternal and child health, emphasizing the ongoing mission to screen and treat anaemia effectively across Madhya Pradesh.
