Madhya Pradesh Cooperation Minister Vishvas Sarang expressed concern over illegal encroachments on government land in his Narela Assembly constituency in Bhopal. He directed the district administration to take action against those encroaching on the land. Sarang also instructed the Bhopal Municipal Corporation, the Revenue Department, and the police to ensure that no government services are provided to areas with illegal encroachments.
During a visit to residential colonies like Shahenshah Garden and Ashoka Garden, Sarang, who is a BJP MLA from the Narela Assembly constituency, inspected the status of government land in these areas. He summoned the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Sumit Pandey during the inspection and questioned how government land had been encroached upon without permission.
Following complaints from local residents, the minister conducted a surprise inspection to address the issue of illegal encroachments. He directed the local authorities to identify and demolish illegal structures on government land immediately. Sarang also instructed the civic body and electricity department not to provide services to illegal colonies in the city.
Sarang emphasized the need for a detailed investigation and strict action against madrasas, factories, and meat shops allegedly operating illegally on government land. He stressed the importance of removing those who have violated rules and occupied government land, as well as punishing those involved in encroachment.
