In a significant operation against illegal drugs, Madhya Pradesh Police arrested two individuals and confiscated 1.5 kg of “MD drugs” valued at over Rs 1.5 crore in the international market. The seizure also included two motorbikes and poppy husk in Mandsaur district, emphasizing the state’s ongoing fight against narcotics.
Led by Superintendent of Police Mandsaur Vinod Kumar Meena and other officials, the police acted on a tip-off about a drug supply. The team intercepted Gulsher Khan Pathan and Nandkishore alias Nandu in possession of the drugs, leading to their arrest and the recovery of the contraband.
The seized drugs, identified as MDMA or ecstasy, hold a significant street value and highlight the threat posed by synthetic stimulants, especially in urban areas. The crackdown is a major setback for drug traffickers in the region, prompting authorities to intensify efforts against drug-related activities.
