Madhya Pradesh is on a path to prosperity akin to Gujarat, according to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the Centre’s support for driving key development projects in the state. Speaking at an agricultural worker training event in Bhopal, Yadav highlighted the state’s progress.

The Chief Minister mentioned the implementation of three significant river-linking projects in Madhya Pradesh. These projects are expected to enhance water availability and bolster the agriculture sector. The Ken-Betwa Link Project benefits the Bundelkhand region, while the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) project will provide irrigation to multiple districts in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Yadav emphasized the substantial contribution of the Central government, covering nearly 90% of the project costs. This support underscores the government’s dedication to water security, irrigation expansion, and rural development. He also acknowledged the gratitude expressed by people in Rajasthan for the progress on the PKC project facilitated by Madhya Pradesh.

Describing Madhya Pradesh as the “motherland of rivers,” Yadav stressed the importance of efficient water resource management. He highlighted the state’s efforts to utilize Narmada waters for overall prosperity. The Chief Minister underscored the critical role of water conservation in strengthening agriculture and ensuring its sustainability for the future.

The government’s focus on modernizing agriculture through technology adoption and improved service delivery mechanisms was also highlighted. Initiatives such as e-governance, the ‘Sarthak’ app, and enhanced fertiliser distribution are being prioritized. Yadav mentioned the integration of schemes from various departments to ensure comprehensive development for farmers and rural areas.

Yadav emphasized the significance of workshops and initiatives in enhancing agricultural productivity, increasing farmer incomes, and supporting the rural economy. He outlined the government’s commitment to water management, infrastructure development, and innovation for long-term growth and prosperity in Madhya Pradesh.
