Hollywood actor Mads Mikkelsen reflected on his time working on the 2016 ‘Star Wars’ prequel ‘Rogue One’. During filming, he found the script to be constantly evolving, describing it as “surprisingly unfinished”. Mikkelsen shared that the script changes posed challenges, especially for the younger actors in the cast.
He portrayed the character Galen Erso in the film, starring alongside actors like Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, and Donnie Yen. Directed by Gareth Edwards, ‘Rogue One’ follows a group of rebels on a mission to steal plans for the Death Star. Mikkelsen highlighted the difficulties of reshooting scenes due to the evolving storyline, particularly recalling a challenging day with artificial rain.
Reflecting on his acting career, Mikkelsen also mentioned his role in ‘Casino Royale’. He revealed an anecdote from the set where he and co-star Daniel Craig were asked to refrain from improvising during filming. Mikkelsen also noted that Craig, unlike the rest of the cast, lacked poker skills.
