Efforts are underway to field a common candidate and ensure unity among alliance partners for the election.
Tejashwi Yadav is focusing on assessing the Grand Alliance’s numerical strength to garner support for the joint nominee. Detailed discussions have been held with MLAs from the Congress and Left parties to enhance coordination and electoral planning. The alliance is leaning towards presenting a united front by contesting with a single candidate, aiming for a cohesive approach.
Senior leader I.P. Gupta highlighted Tejashwi Yadav’s continuous engagement with MLAs to strengthen coordination and finalize strategies. The Grand Alliance is optimistic about soon announcing its candidate and securing the support of all opposition parties. The alliance is also in talks with the AIMIM to explore potential backing for the elections, which could be pivotal in determining the outcome.
The opposition’s focus has shifted towards securing AIMIM’s support, with the belief that such backing could significantly boost the Grand Alliance’s chances in the Rajya Sabha elections. Meetings involving around 121 leaders and MLAs have been held to fine-tune the electoral strategy and roadmap for positioning the joint candidate. Tejashwi Yadav has expressed confidence in the alliance’s readiness for the elections and the prospect of victory.
