He urged departments to collaborate and ensure timely completion of healthcare infrastructure projects like Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and Critical Care Blocks to improve the state’s healthcare system. The Chief Minister’s War Room has been established to oversee social sector schemes, focusing on health department initiatives at both Central and state levels.
Fadnavis conducted a thorough review of healthcare-related projects, including the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the establishment of new medical colleges. He stressed the importance of quality and accessible healthcare services across urban and rural areas in Maharashtra. The government aims to implement an action plan, inspired by successful healthcare models in states like Tamil Nadu, to enhance healthcare delivery in Maharashtra effectively.
The Chief Minister emphasized the timely utilization of funds received from the Central Government for healthcare projects. He urged District Collectors to monitor and expedite the construction of healthcare facilities to ensure timely completion. Fadnavis underlined the significance of coordination among departments to expedite pending projects and emphasized the need for a positive administrative approach to project completion.
Fadnavis also called for a shift in the perception of government healthcare facilities, emphasizing the importance of quality, cleanliness, and effective branding. He encouraged officials to embrace innovative approaches like modular technology for efficient construction. The Chief Minister highlighted the need for officers to take ownership of their work to enhance the quality of government healthcare services visibly.
