He pledged Rs 5 crore for each Akhada, Rs 15 lakh for smaller institutions, and support for electricity bills and land issues. Fadnavis assured a grand and spiritual Kumbh Mela guided by saints and devotees worldwide.
The Chief Minister valued the input of saints and mahants in planning the Kumbh Mela, acknowledging their suggestions for enhanced project efficiency. He highlighted ongoing preparations not just for the upcoming event but also for the Kumbh Mela twelve years later. Permanent infrastructure developments in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar are underway to accommodate the event’s growth.
Fadnavis underscored the spiritual importance of the Trimbakeshwar Temple and the sacred setting of the Godavari River for the Kumbh Mela. Infrastructure improvements around the temple and restoration works in Nashik aim to create a spiritually enriching atmosphere. A healthcare plan is in place to address health concerns of participants.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed confidence in the successful organization of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, emphasizing stringent security measures. He assured devotees of a cleaner Godavari River and addressed the demands of Akhadas. The government is positive about allocating additional land as requested by the Akhadas.
Shinde stressed the importance of collective cooperation for a successful event, ensuring no compromise on security and devotee convenience. Adequate funds for infrastructure and facilities will be promptly provided. Security agencies are directed to collaborate using modern technology for crowd management and emergency responses, aiming for a flawlessly organized Kumbh Mela.
