Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, along with five others, tragically lost their lives in a plane crash near Baramati. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has confirmed the fatalities of all six passengers aboard the aircraft. The crash occurred during landing, leading to a scene of fire, smoke, and the wreckage of the plane, with emergency services swiftly responding to the incident.

Deputy CM Ajit Pawar’s family, including his wife Sunetra, son Parth, and cousin Supriya Sule, were en route to Baramati from Delhi when the tragic event unfolded. The Deputy CM was traveling from Mumbai to Baramati to participate in a public meeting amidst the ongoing elections for Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis. The crash took place around 9 a.m., shortly after the plane departed from Mumbai.

Following the crash, rescue teams and senior security officials promptly arrived at the crash site in Baramati to manage the situation. Three bodies were transported to Baramati Medical College for identification, as confirmed by the Pune Superintendent of Police. Additionally, a team of DGCA officials has been dispatched to investigate the incident further.

Locals who witnessed the crash rushed to the site to provide assistance, while more details about the tragic event are still awaited. This unfortunate incident adds to a series of aviation-related incidents involving the leader, including a previous helicopter crash and emergency landings due to adverse weather conditions in the region.
