Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar tragically passed away in a plane crash on Wednesday morning. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed his deep condolences to Pawar’s family and prayed for their strength during this difficult time. Shinde emphasized the importance of conducting a thorough investigation into the incident to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Maharashtra Minister Sanjay Shirsat found it hard to accept the news of Ajit Pawar’s sudden death. He recalled meeting Pawar the day before and expressing concerns about his health. NCP National Spokesperson Brij Mohan Srivastava confirmed the incident, stating that the aircraft caught fire before landing, leading to the demise of Ajit Pawar and five others.
The plane crash occurred near Baramati, claiming the lives of all six passengers on board. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) verified the fatalities. The incident took place shortly after the plane departed from Mumbai, sparking a rescue operation at the crash site. Pawar’s family rushed to the scene, as he was en route to attend a public meeting in Baramati amidst ongoing elections.
