Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for elevating India’s global stature and steering the nation towards economic prowess in the last twelve years. Shinde highlighted that under PM Modi’s leadership, Maharashtra has experienced remarkable progress.
Expressing appreciation for the chance to speak on a resolution honoring PM Modi, Shinde acknowledged the Prime Minister’s historic tenure of 4,398 days, marking him as one of the longest-serving leaders. He emphasized PM Modi’s significant impact on India’s global presence and economic advancement.
Shinde commended PM Modi for propelling India’s economy from the 11th to the 4th position globally, with aspirations to reach the 3rd spot. He lauded the introduction of the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, outlining a 21-year roadmap for the nation’s future development.
PM Modi’s popularity as a global leader was underscored by Shinde, noting the numerous civilian honors bestowed upon him by 33 countries. Shinde also highlighted the substantial funding provided by the central government for key projects in Maharashtra, such as the Coastal Road and Navi Mumbai International Airport, among others.
The Deputy CM emphasized PM Modi’s efforts in preserving cultural heritage while driving infrastructural growth under the philosophy of “Development with Heritage.” He pointed out the significant increase in infrastructure development and operational airports during PM Modi’s tenure compared to the previous government.
Shinde praised PM Modi’s comprehensive work across various sectors, including welfare schemes for farmers, women, underprivileged communities, and youth. He credited PM Modi for realizing the dreams of late Balasaheb Thackeray, particularly in the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and the abrogation of Article 370.
