Maharashtra NCP President, Sunil Tatkare, stressed the importance of upholding the party’s vision set by the late Ajit Pawar. He commended Ajit Pawar’s leadership during the Assembly elections, which resulted in a 72% success rate for the NCP. Tatkare expressed a commitment to advancing the NCP under Sunetra Pawar’s leadership.
Tatkare mentioned the emotional impact of Ajit Pawar’s passing and highlighted the need to carry forward his aspirations. He assured that decisions within the party would be collectively made by its leaders, emphasizing the unity and strength of the NCP under Sunetra Pawar’s presidency.
Allegations were raised by the state party general secretary, Suraj Chavan, against NCP(SP) MLA Rohit Pawar, accusing his team of funding a campaign to defame the NCP and create internal discord. Chavan denounced the spreading of misinformation to tarnish the party’s reputation and urged Rohit Pawar to focus on his party’s internal affairs.
Chavan clarified that recent rumors about the removal of certain cells within the NCP were false and explained the organizational structure of the party’s frontal wings. He warned against further attacks on the NCP, stating that any such actions would be met with a strong response. Chavan also addressed the constitutional changes made to ensure the party’s leadership remained with Ajit Pawar’s family.
