A controversy arose when NCP MP Parth Pawar, son of late Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, flew to Pune in a private jet from VSR Ventures. This move raised eyebrows as VSR Ventures was the same company involved in the fatal plane crash that claimed his father’s life. Parth Pawar’s flight followed serious safety allegations made by his cousin, NCP SP legislator Rohit Pawar, against the private jet company.
Parth Pawar defended his actions by attributing the incident to an administrative error and promptly canceled the agreement with the booking agent. He clarified that the flight was arranged urgently to meet Sharad Pawar Saheb in Pune, and he was unaware of the airline’s identity until boarding. Pawar emphasized the need for increased vigilance within his team to prevent such errors in the future.
Addressing the ongoing controversy, Parth Pawar reiterated his firm stance against VSR Aviation and dismissed the politicization of the issue as baseless and misleading. Meanwhile, Rohit Pawar highlighted safety concerns regarding VSR Ventures, citing instances of operational failures and alleged pressure on crew members to fly in adverse conditions. He also questioned substantial government payments to the aviation company around the time of the tragic crash.
