The Delhi Police’s Cyber Cell and Crime Branch, Southern Range, uncovered a sophisticated operation involved in producing and distributing counterfeit ENO antacid powder and Nescafe coffee products in the national capital. These fake products, used for acidity relief and coffee consumption, were being circulated through various wholesale and retail channels across the country, posing significant health risks to consumers.
A team led by Inspectors Manjeet Kumar and Pardeep Kumar conducted raids at illegal manufacturing units in Madhu Vihar, where counterfeit ENO powder and fake Nescafe coffee were being produced and packaged. The operation resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of fake sachets, machinery, raw materials, and packaging supplies.
The arrested individuals, including Uttam Das, Papai Das Baragya, Nitin Bhardwaj, and Sanjay Bansal, were found to be part of a well-organized criminal network manufacturing and distributing counterfeit products. The seized items were confirmed by respective company representatives to be unauthorized and posed serious health risks to consumers, leading to the registration of a criminal case.
