The Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre at Jamia Millia Islamia wrapped up its 20th One-Month Faculty Induction Programme in line with the National Education Policy 2020. The program, held offline from December 1 to 29, aimed to equip new faculty members with essential skills aligned with the NEP-2020 vision, according to Chief Public Relations Officer Saima Saeed.
Professor Mehtab Alam Rizvi, Registrar at Jamia Millia Islamia, emphasized the role of teachers in democracy and nation-building during the valedictory address. He also discussed key policy initiatives within the NEP-2020 framework, including the incorporation of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) and regional languages, seeking input from participants for future endeavors by MMTTC, JMI.
The Faculty Induction Programme featured 96 expert sessions by scholars and policymakers from around the country, focusing on fostering a comprehensive understanding of higher education and developing reflective teaching professionals. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from newly recruited faculty members across various disciplines in both public and private higher education institutions.
