Joachim Chuah from Malaysia and Rouqaia Othman from Egypt clinched the men’s and women’s titles, respectively, at the HCL Squash PSA Challenger Tour in Chennai. Chuah secured victory over Egypt’s Adham Roshdy in straight games, while Othman triumphed over South Korean Hwayeong Eum in a thrilling match.

Othman advanced to the final by defeating India’s Sanya Vats in the semifinals. Despite Sanya being the only Indian player to progress beyond the quarterfinals, the event did not yield much success for the Indian contingent overall.

In a separate event in Mumbai, Tanvi Khanna of India staged a remarkable comeback against Egypt’s Farida Walid in the women’s final of the HCL-SRFI PSA Challenger Tournament. Tanvi, seeded third, emerged victorious after losing the first two games, ultimately winning the match in five sets.
