He criticized the government’s decisions, particularly international agreements, which he claimed negatively impacted farmers. Kharge expressed worry over the treatment of the arrested members, stating it goes against democratic principles.
Responding to criticism that the protest tarnished India’s image, Kharge pointed out that protests during significant events are not uncommon. He mentioned past protests by BJP leaders during events like the Commonwealth Games to illustrate his point. Kharge reiterated that the Youth Congress protest was intended to shed light on issues affecting farmers and unemployed youth.
