West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has raised suspicions of a conspiracy theory regarding the plane crash that led to the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. She has urged for a Supreme Court-monitored investigation into the incident. In response to the tragedy, Banerjee has postponed her scheduled trip to Delhi.
Banerjee, en route to an event in Hooghly’s Singur, expressed her belief that Ajit Pawar was considering leaving the NDA and rejoining the opposition’s INDIA bloc. She emphasized her lack of confidence in the impartiality of Central investigation agencies and stressed the necessity of a Supreme Court oversight for a thorough probe.
The CM highlighted the need for a transparent investigation, stating, “We have trust only in the Supreme Court and no other agency.” She underscored the importance of uncovering the truth behind the tragic incident that claimed the lives of Ajit Pawar and four others in the plane crash.
Mamata Banerjee’s call for a Supreme Court-led investigation follows the fatal plane crash involving Ajit Pawar, the NCP chief and Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister. The aircraft crashed near Baramati airport during a landing attempt, resulting in the tragic loss of lives. Ajit Pawar was en route to attend crucial public meetings before the local body polls.
