Following raids by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at the I-PAC office and director Pratik Jain’s home in Kolkata, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee strongly criticized the BJP-led Union government. She accused the central investigation agency of looting her party’s election strategy, candidate list, and internal data under the guise of conducting a raid.
Banerjee expressed outrage over the ED’s actions at the office of her party’s vote-strategy agency, I-PAC, and Pratik Jain’s residence. She condemned the raids as an attempt by the BJP to forcibly take control of Bengal.
The Chief Minister emphasized that I-PAC is not a corporate entity but is involved in implementing Trinamool Congress’ election strategy. She alleged that the raids were deliberate to transfer their election strategy to the BJP.
Banerjee revealed that the raid commenced early in the morning with few people present at the office. She mentioned that an FIR would be filed against the ED’s forensic team for transferring her party’s data from their laptops.
Police officials were seen removing files and diaries from the I-PAC office, which were later placed in Banerjee’s car. She criticized the BJP as a threat to democracy and accused them of using money and muscle power to influence elections.
