Hours before the West Bengal Assembly polls’ counting, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee advised her party workers to stay vigilant. She highlighted concerns about planned power cuts in various locations across the state. Banerjee urged continuous monitoring of the situation to safeguard the people’s votes.
Reports of power disruptions have emerged from Sreerampore, Krishnanagar, Aushgram, and Khudiram Anushilan Kendra. Banerjee emphasized the need for heightened surveillance, alleging that CCTV shutdowns and suspicious activities were orchestrated by the Bharatiya Janata Party. She urged immediate action and vigilance to protect the integrity of the electoral process.
In a meeting with Trinamool Congress’ counting agents, Banerjee provided instructions for maintaining alertness during the counting process. She expressed confidence in the party’s victory in West Bengal and her own constituency, Bhabanipur. Despite potential early trends favoring the opposition, Banerjee assured that the Trinamool Congress would ultimately emerge victorious.
