In a tragic incident in Pichhodi village, Barwani district, Madhya Pradesh, a 32-year-old man named Chandan Badole fatally shot his father, Jagan Badole, following a dispute over money. Chandan had been demanding Rs 200,000 or more from his father, who had already given him the sum but refused to provide additional funds, leading to heightened tensions between them.
The fatal confrontation occurred on Monday around 11 a.m. when Chandan intercepted his father and mother on the road. After a heated argument, Chandan, armed with a country-made pistol, shot his father near the ear, resulting in immediate death. The mother, Gauri Bai, witnessed the incident and promptly alerted the police, who are now searching for Chandan.
Prior to the shooting, Chandan had posted on social media alleging that his father owned land but was withholding money from him. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities examining the social media post as part of the case. It was also revealed that Jagan had previously given Chandan the same amount by mortgaging a piece of land.
Chandan’s aggressive behavior had strained his personal life, leading to his wife leaving him. The police highlighted the concerning trend of domestic disputes turning violent, sparking shock and outrage in the local community over the tragic incident. The authorities have conducted a post-mortem on the deceased and are actively pursuing Chandan, promising a thorough investigation into all aspects, including his social media activity and past conduct.
