Veteran actress Mandakini recently shared memories from the filming of her 1986 movie ‘Singhasan’. She nostalgically recalled the grandeur of 80s filmmaking and working alongside icons like Jeetendra, Waheeda Rehman, Jaya Prada, and Amjad Khan. Mandakini expressed how each scene was meticulously shot, requiring hours of dedication for perfection, creating a magical on-screen experience.
She highlighted the absence of VFX and shortcuts during that era, emphasizing that the grandeur seen in films resulted from real sets and hard work. Mandakini also mentioned the craze for fantasy-action films at the time, with ‘Singhasan’ being one of the prominent productions in that genre. The actress fondly remembered outdoor shoots, especially the positive energy on set while filming scenes with Jeetendra.
In an interesting revelation, Mandakini disclosed that ‘Singhasan’ was filmed simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. She shared the unique experience of shooting scenes for both language versions, with Jeetendra in Hindi and South superstar Krishna Garu in Telugu.
