Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh highlighted the significance of agriculture for the state and country during the Agrivision, Agri-Youth Parliament-2026 event in Imphal. Singh praised the innovative agricultural ideas and startups showcased by youth from the Northeastern region at the Central Agricultural University.
Singh released a policy document titled “Agricultural Extension Innovations for Achieving US $1.3 Trillion North East India Economy @ 2047 (Shillong Declaration)” to outline a roadmap for agricultural transformation. He commended the increasing youth participation in agriculture, emphasizing the need to strengthen the sector through platforms like the Agri-Youth Parliament.
The Chief Minister expressed interest in maximizing agricultural opportunities for youth within the state’s startup ecosystem. The event, attended by various dignitaries including Vice-Chancellor Anupam Mishra, aimed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in agriculture. The Agri-Youth Parliament-2026 event facilitated dialogue and collaboration for sustainable agricultural development in the Northeast.
