At the Manipur State Award for Literature, 2024 event, he praised the state’s writers for their contributions. Singh expressed concerns over the recent economic challenges faced by Manipur due to past turmoil, affecting the livelihoods of many.

Congratulating the awardees, Singh acknowledged their valuable role in upholding Manipuri culture through literature. He urged the public to refrain from disruptive actions like bandhs and blockades, emphasizing the adverse impact on vulnerable groups.
