Marathi actor Ashok Saraf and his actress wife Nivedita Saraf recently graced the Cannes Film Festival for the first time. They expressed that some moments are beyond words as they shared their excitement before walking the red carpet. Ashok looked dashing in an off-white bandhgala outfit, while Nivedita showcased her Marathi heritage in a Paithani saree and a beautiful nath.
Ashok, aged 78, made his red carpet debut at Cannes, known for his contributions to Marathi and Hindi cinema as well as theatre. His popular works include films like ‘Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi’ and the TV show ‘Hum Paanch’. Nivedita, who started acting at a young age, gained fame in Marathi cinema with her debut alongside Ashok in ‘Navri Mile Navryala’.
Nivedita also appeared in Hindi films like ‘Narsimha’ and ‘King Uncle’, with her film ‘Majha Chakula’ receiving critical acclaim. After a break, she returned to acting in the Marathi serial ‘Bandhan’ in 2006.
