Maruti Suzuki India announced its partnership with five startups to develop artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainability-focused solutions. These startups, winners of the Maruti Suzuki Incubation Programme’s fifth cohort, will work on enhancing operational efficiency, customer experience, and business processes. Maruti Suzuki’s Managing Director, Hisashi Takeuchi, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration, emphasizing the startups’ role in addressing real-world business challenges.
The selected startups include MiniMines, Easework AI, Sarvam AI, Siftly, and CodeMate AI. MiniMines will focus on eco-friendly recycling of end-of-life batteries, while the others will contribute to improving customer engagement and operational efficiency. Easework AI aims to automate procurement workflows, Sarvam AI will enhance customer interactions using generative AI agents, Siftly will boost brand visibility through generative AI, and CodeMate AI will accelerate software application development with AI-powered solutions.
Maruti Suzuki highlighted that MiniMines will work on recycling solutions for lithium-ion batteries and valuable material extraction. The company’s collaboration with startups aims to drive innovation in future mobility solutions. The Maruti Suzuki Incubation Programme, initiated in August 2020, supports technology-enabled startups in the mobility sector, with NSRCEL providing mentorship and access to IIM Bangalore’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Maruti Suzuki has been actively engaging with startups for seven years, screening around 7,400 startups, interacting with over 250, and partnering with 38. The company’s focus on nurturing innovation in the automotive and mobility sector underscores its commitment to fostering technological advancements.
