In Mathura, the police made a significant breakthrough by apprehending two alleged history-sheeters and murder suspects after an encounter. The individuals sustained gunshot wounds to their legs during a confrontation with the police and were subsequently hospitalized for treatment.
The operation was initiated based on specific information received by the Nauhjheel police around 10:30 p.m. on July 13, indicating the presence of the wanted men in the area. Setting up a blockade near the culvert connecting Shall and Kolahar villages, the police team intercepted the accused who were traveling on a motorcycle.
The suspects reportedly fired at the police team in an attempt to flee and harm the officers. In self-defense, the police returned fire, injuring both individuals before apprehending them. The arrested men, identified as Satendra alias Satte (38) and Moti (49), residents of Mathura, were found in possession of firearms and cash during the operation.
