The Rolling Stones icon, Mick Jagger, will be appearing alongside Dakota Johnson, Josh O’Connor, Saoirse Ronan, Jessie Buckley, and Isabella Rossellini in an upcoming movie directed by Alice Rohrwacher. The film is based on the novel ‘Three Incestuous Sisters’ by American author Audrey Niffenegger, as reported by ‘Variety’. Jagger arrived on the volcanic island of Stromboli, off Sicily, where filming is taking place, according to Italian press sources.
The villa where Jagger is staying on the island has historical significance, being the place where Isabella Rossellini’s father, Roberto Rossellini, began a scandalous affair with Ingrid Bergman during the filming of a movie in 1949. ‘Three Incestuous Sisters’ is Rohrwacher’s first English-language feature, following her success at Cannes with ‘The Wonders’ and ‘Happy as Lazzaro’, according to ‘Variety’. The film is centered on three sisters living in seclusion, whose lives are disrupted by the arrival of a lighthouse keeper’s son, with further plot details kept confidential.
Mick Jagger, known for his music career, has also ventured into acting with notable roles in various films. His diverse acting portfolio includes playing a rock star in ‘Performance’, a corporate mercenary in ‘Freejack’, a drag queen in ‘Bent’, a business executive in ‘The Man From Elysian Fields’, and an art collector in ‘The Burnt Orange Heresy’.
