Countries in the Middle East and regional organizations have strongly criticized Iran for its recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), labeling them as a dangerous escalation that poses a threat to regional security and stability. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, condemned the Iranian attacks and reiterated Saudi Arabia’s support for the UAE in safeguarding its security. The two leaders also discussed regional developments and efforts to enhance security in the region.

Jordan’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement describing the attacks as a violation of the UAE’s sovereignty and a dangerous escalation that endangers its security, stability, and territorial integrity. Additionally, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi expressed unwavering solidarity with the UAE and pledged full support for its efforts to protect its sovereignty and security. Qatar also joined in condemning the Iranian attack on an Emirati oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing the importance of freedom of maritime navigation and international law.

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly denounced the attack on the Emirati oil tanker, labeling it as a breach of international law and a violation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817. The ministry called for the unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, highlighting the principle of freedom of navigation in the region. Moreover, Egypt and the League of Arab States expressed their rejection of any actions aimed at destabilizing the Arabian Gulf region and affirmed their support for the UAE’s measures to protect its national assets and sovereignty.

Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, condemned the Iranian attacks against the UAE, emphasizing the need to halt all acts of aggression that threaten international peace and security. The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) also condemned the Iranian attacks on the UAE, highlighting the dangerous escalation and calling for international intervention to stop these actions that undermine regional stability.
