Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, visited the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp at Delhi Cantt. He received a Guard of Honour from NCC cadets, starting the day with a band performance by The Scindia School cadets from Gwalior. Seth emphasized the significance of Republic Day as a tribute to the Constitution and freedom fighters.
NCC cadets were praised as a connection between India’s past and future. The camp showcased the discipline and leadership potential of young Indians. Seth encouraged cadets to embrace a “Swadeshi mindset” and highlighted the growth of Indian start-ups under initiatives like “Startup India” led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Acknowledging the achievements of NCC cadets, Seth commended 15 cadets for a cyclothon promoting national integration and 10 cadets who scaled Mount Everest in 2025. He urged cadets to uphold duty, patriotism, and constitutional values while preparing for future challenges. Seth emphasized the importance of contributing to ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
Expressing gratitude to NCC officers and instructors, Seth emphasized the significance of upholding the honor of the Tricolour and serving the nation with integrity. During his visit, he toured the Flag Area, prepared by cadets from all 17 Directorates, and visited the “Hall of Fame” to learn about the NCC’s history and achievements in fostering discipline and national pride among youth.
