Olympic medalist weightlifter Mirabai Chanu is set to compete for her third consecutive gold at the Commonwealth Games, aiming to boost India’s medal count. Having secured gold in the 2018 and 2022 editions, she looks to maintain her record as the most successful female athlete in the Commonwealth Games.
In other events, India’s Women’s Pairs team will strive to progress to the medal rounds in a crucial day of competitions. The men’s 4x200m freestyle swimming team will seek to make an impact in the relays.
India’s focus will also be on the women’s pairs team in lawn bowls, featuring Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki, as they face England in pursuit of a medal. Additionally, boxers Priti Pawar and Jadumani Singh will compete in their respective weight categories against opponents from Malawi and Pakistan.
