Miss Universe India 2025, Manika Vishwakarma, who is a former National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadet, visited the NCC’s Republic Day Camp-2026. She motivated the participants with her story and encouraged them to aim high with determination and patriotism. Vishwakarma interacted with the cadets, sharing her journey from being an NCC cadet to winning the Miss Universe India title.
Foreign cadets from 22 friendly countries have begun joining the NCC’s Republic Day Camp-2026. These cadets, representing their respective NCC or similar youth organizations, will be part of the camp for the next two weeks. They will have the opportunity to experience India’s rich culture, heritage, traditions, and values, fostering international friendship and understanding.
Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan visited the Republic Day Camp at Delhi Cantonment. He encouraged the cadets to consider a career in the Armed Forces and contribute to building a ‘Viksit Bharat’. General Chauhan stressed the importance of vision and determination for the youth, highlighting their role as future leaders. He shared his career journey and urged the cadets to work towards a ‘Samridhh, Sashakt, Surakshit Bharat’ by 2047.
January holds significance with key events like National Youth Day, Veteran’s Day, Army Day, Parakram Diwas, Republic Day, and Martyr’s Day. General Chauhan praised the cadets’ high standards and patriotism, noting the renewed energy they bring each year.
