Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma highlighted the significance of an efficient police force in maintaining peace and order in society. He stressed that capable law enforcement agencies play a vital role in ensuring public security and harmony. Speaking at the Police Training School (PTS) in Thenzawl, Serchhip district, he commended the 70th batch of Police Constables for their dedication.
The Chief Minister praised the transparency in government recruitment processes, emphasizing the principle of “Equality for All.” Lalduhoma, a former IPS officer, underlined the selection of 275 new police personnel based on merit, without any political influence. He urged the graduates to serve the state with excellence and emphasized the government’s commitment to efficiency.
Lalduhoma encouraged the newly trained constables to uphold justice and enforce the law impartially. He expressed the government’s focus on righteousness and the rule of law. The Chief Minister also addressed concerns about alcohol abuse among police personnel, emphasizing the importance of maintaining physical fitness beyond training.
Mizoram’s Director General of Police (DGP) Sharad Agarwal congratulated the trainees and emphasized the need for self-discipline. State Home Minister K. Sapdanga was also present at the passing-out parade, showing support for the new police constables.
