Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma highlighted that the state’s peaceful social atmosphere is mainly due to the absence of insurgency, allowing different communities to live harmoniously. He mentioned that the surrender of the last ethnic insurgent group in the state has led to genuine peace and stability. Lalduhoma urged everyone to safeguard this hard-earned peace.

The Chief Minister commended the Joint Hnampual Students’ Organisation for promoting unity among the seven ethnic student organizations in Mizoram. He encouraged the practice of the theme “We are Zofas; we cannot be divided” in daily life, emphasizing unity over division. Lalduhoma stressed the importance of living together without discrimination while preserving each community’s unique identity.

Lalduhoma advocated for a common language to enhance ethnic unity while preserving individual languages and cultures. He urged the youth to study history and literature, emphasizing the role of today’s actions in shaping future generations. Adviser to the Chief Minister Lalmuanpuia Punte praised the initiative of the Joint Hnampual Meet in fostering ethnic unity and harmony among different groups.
