DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin stated that his party is fully prepared to confront actions by central investigating agencies. He accused the BJP of using institutions like the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the Income Tax Department, and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for political motives. Stalin criticized the BJP for what he termed as “political hunting” through the deployment of investigative agencies against opposition parties.

Stalin emphasized that if the BJP deploys the ED, I-T, and CBI, his party is well-equipped to handle them. He described such tactics as a sign of political desperation. The Chief Minister alleged that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was formed by intimidating corrupt individuals. He pointed out that former Ministers from the AIADMK regime have faced raids, with some still having pending cases with the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC).

Stalin accused the NDA of protecting these former Ministers for the sake of the alliance. He also criticized Governor R.N. Ravi for delaying the registration of FIRs against certain former Ministers. Stalin questioned the effectiveness of the ED, highlighting the low number of convictions among the over 8,000 cases registered by the agency. He criticized those facing corruption charges for aligning with the BJP and using investigating agencies for political gain.
