The much-anticipated Malayalam film ‘Drishyam 3’, directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal, is set to hit screens globally on April 2, 2026. Aashirvad Cinemas, the renowned production house behind the movie, made the announcement on social media. Mohanlal wrapped up his filming for the project in December, with a viral video showing him celebrating the milestone with the film crew.
The third installment of the successful franchise began production with a traditional ceremony near Kochi in September. Director Jeethu Joseph shared that ‘Drishyam 3’ will delve into the next phase of Georgekutty’s life, portrayed by Mohanlal. Producer Antony Perumbavoor expressed that the decision to proceed with the film came after thorough deliberations, spurred by the immense success of the previous installments.
Known for their gripping narratives and Mohanlal’s stellar performance, the ‘Drishyam’ films have garnered a dedicated following in Indian cinema. The first movie, released in 2013, set industry standards, while the sequel in 2021 achieved record-breaking viewership in theaters and on streaming platforms.
