Subhash Ghai, the renowned filmmaker, is contemplating a sequel to the popular movie “Taal,” which starred Aishwarya Rai and Akshaye Khanna. Ghai recently took to social media to gauge interest in producing “Taal 2” with a fresh cast and a young director. He also shared the highest praise he received for the original film during a screening in Chicago, where a well-known Hollywood critic lauded it as “pure entertainment” and “innocence.”
In his Instagram post, Ghai expressed his gratitude for the critic’s appreciation of Aishwarya’s performance, the music, and the choreography in “Taal.” The filmmaker reminisced about the positive feedback he received at the screening, emphasizing the film’s joyful, classic Hollywood-style musical essence that resonated with audiences. Ghai also sought opinions on the potential production of “Taal 2” with a new cast and director in India.
