In a video shared on her official Instagram, Asha Bhosle was seen singing the melodious Bengali track “Jete Dao Amay Dekona.” Towards the end, Asha Bhosle expressed her admiration for Mouni in Bengali, with Mouni reciprocating the love in the same language.
Mouni, in the caption, revealed her deep connection with Asha Bhosle’s music, mentioning how losing the singer felt like losing a part of her childhood. She expressed, “There are some voices that just don’t belong to music, they belong to our lives.” The entertainment industry, including celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Hema Malini, Kajol, and Raveena Tandon, also mourned the loss of Asha Bhosle on social media.
Asha Bhosle, who passed away at 92, was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital and her demise was confirmed by Maharashtra’s Culture Minister, Ashish Shelar. The last rites of the iconic singer are scheduled to take place at Shivaji Park on Monday at 4:00 pm. Known for her vast musical contributions, Asha Bhosle has sung nearly 12,000 songs in various languages and collaborated with renowned music composers throughout her career.
