MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is set to inaugurate the Forest Department’s ‘Mahakal Van Mela’ in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The event, themed ‘prosperous forests, happy people,’ will run from February 11 to February 16 at the Dussehra ground in Sethi Nagar. The exhibition aims to showcase, conserve, process, and market non-timber forest produce gathered by forest residents across the state. Participants including collectors, traders, and representatives from herbal and Ayurvedic industries will present and sell their goods. Additionally, the event will offer various amenities such as a kids’ zone, wheelchair access, golf carts, and selfie spots for attendees.
Furthermore, the ‘Mahakal Van Mela’ will host buyer-seller interactions, free medical consultations by Ayurvedic practitioners, cultural performances, and traditional food stalls. Noteworthy attractions will include a cheetah family and dinosaur sculptures, special provisions for senior citizens, designated seating for patients, complimentary bus services from the Mahakal temple, and an engaging kids’ zone.
During the festival, the Chief Minister will honor Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs), the Managing Director of District Union South Panna, and the Forest Guard of District Union South Panna with certificates of appreciation.
