After the death of a NEET aspirant in a women’s hostel in Patna under suspicious circumstances, RJD’s Lok Sabha MP Surendra Yadav strongly criticized the Bihar government’s response. Yadav questioned the government’s claims of improved law and order, expressing concerns about the safety of women in the state. He urged action against the culprits instead of blaming the opposition.
Yadav highlighted the case of the deceased woman from Jehanabad, emphasizing the need for accountability from the Chief Minister and the NDA leadership. He criticized the delay in arresting the accused and raised questions about the handling of the investigation. Yadav vowed to pursue justice for the victim, stating that failure to do so would lead him to retire from politics.
The tragic incident involving the NEET aspirant came to light when she was found unconscious in her hostel room and later passed away in the hospital. Allegations of sexual assault were made by the victim’s family, initially met with skepticism by the police. However, the post-mortem report suggested the possibility of assault, prompting scrutiny of the police’s response and procedures.
