Defending champions MSC Maratha Royals secured victory in the T20 Mumbai League final, defeating ARCS Andheri by eight runs at the Wankhede Stadium. Chinmay Sutar’s resilient half-century and a strong bowling performance led by Tushar Deshpande were instrumental in the Royals’ consecutive title win.
The presentation ceremony saw the presence of notable figures like Mumbai Cricket Association President Ajinkya Naik and League Governing Council Chairman Rajdip Gupta, along with other officials. In a packed stadium with over 31,000 spectators, Divyaansh Sksena of Andheri showcased an impressive performance, scoring 51 runs off 40 balls, becoming the sole player in the season to achieve three half-centuries.
Despite Andheri’s efforts to build partnerships, the Maratha Royals’ bowlers consistently broke through. Divyaansh anchored the innings with partnerships like a 38-run stand with Arjun Tendulkar and a 25-run collaboration with Pragnesh Kanpillewar before being dismissed. The Royals’ controlled bowling restricted Andheri to 146/8, securing their title defense.
