Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), and his son Anant Ambani welcomed President of Finland, Dr. Alexander Stubb, at their Mumbai residence. The gathering aimed to foster friendship and strengthen ties through shared values, as highlighted by RIL.
During his visit to India, Stubb emphasized the increasing role of India and the Global South in shaping a cooperative and fair global order. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also underlined the expanding cooperation between India and Finland in key technology sectors like artificial intelligence, 5G, and 6G telecommunications.
India’s Department of Science and Technology and Finland’s Business Finland will collaborate on joint research initiatives focusing on renewable energy, smart cities, hydrogen technologies, electric vehicles, and waste management. This partnership aims to enhance research collaboration and drive innovation between the two countries.
Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), RIL’s FMCG arm, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Finland’s Fazer, a leading foods company. The agreement will establish a strategic partnership in India to produce, market, and distribute premium chocolates based on Fazer’s recipes and quality standards nationwide.
By leveraging Fazer’s heritage brands and innovative product range along with RCPL’s market access and expertise in India, the partnership aims to create a distinctive position in India’s rapidly growing chocolate and confectionery market. This move is expected to capitalize on the increasing consumer incomes and organized retail presence in the country.
