The Mumbai Cricket Association revealed the schedule for the upcoming T20 Mumbai League season 4 and the debut of the T20 Mumbai Women’s League. The matches are set to take place at Wankhede Stadium from June 1 to 13, featuring 30 matches. The tournament will showcase international stars, IPL and WPL players, and budding talents from Mumbai.
The cricket extravaganza will kick off with a double-header on June 1, with Bandra Blasters facing Eagle Thane Strikers and Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals against Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs. The men’s competition will include eight teams playing five league matches each, leading to semi-finals on June 11 and the final on June 13.
The inaugural T20 Mumbai Women’s League will commence on June 2, with three teams competing. The women’s matches will start at 9.30 AM, while the men’s matches are scheduled for 2 PM and 7 PM. The league is anticipated to witness prominent players like Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, and Ajinkya Rahane in action, alongside emerging talents.
The women’s tournament will feature players such as Sayali Satghare, Saima Thakor, and teenage sensation Ira Jadhav. MCA president Ajinkya Naik expressed excitement for the upcoming event, emphasizing the opportunity for young cricketers to showcase their skills alongside established stars. Rajdip Gupta, chairman of the League Governing Council, highlighted the competitive season ahead at Wankhede Stadium.
