Mumbai’s Hanuman Pawshe of Fast Track Racing India claimed victory in the top Unrestricted class of the MMSC fmsci Indian National Motorcycle Drag Racing Championship 2025. This win came after defending champion Hemanth Muddappa from Mantra Racing was penalized for a jump start in the final run, leading to a thrilling finish at the Madras International Circuit.
In the last round, both Pawshe and Bengaluru’s Muddappa were tied on 55 points, with Pawshe’s teammate Alimon Saidalvi close behind. However, Muddappa’s jump start infringement handed Pawshe the championship in this category, with Saidalvi securing the second spot.
Despite the setback, Muddappa managed to clinch the National title in two other categories, bringing his total National title count to 17. His fourth-place finish in the Super Sport 4-Stroke 1051-1650cc class was enough to secure the title, surpassing Round-4 winner Mujahid Pasha from Bengaluru.
Nagecoil’s Lapis Lazuli emerged as the champion in the Girls (Super Stock up to 165cc) category, with her C2 Racing teammate Shanthi Chandra finishing as the runner-up. Additionally, Bengaluru’s Syed Imran from Fast Track Racing India claimed two National titles in the 2-Stroke 131-165cc and 2-Stroke up to 130cc categories.
The Fast Track Racing India team had a successful campaign, securing team honors in five categories. Other teams like Mantra Racing, Team 99 Racing, Accesys India Rookies Racing, and C2 Racing also achieved notable results in different categories.
In a remarkable performance during Round 3, Muddappa, aged 35, dominated by winning the Unrestricted and 1051-1650cc classes, along with a podium finish in the 851-1050cc category.
