A dominant performance by Murshidabad Kings led to their first win in the Bengal T20 League Season 3 as they defeated Rashmi Nes Medinipur Wizards by 28 runs at Eden Gardens. Batting first, Murshidabad Kings scored 201/5 in 20 overs with Rishabh Chaudhary hitting 71 off 49 balls and Saksham Chaudhary contributing 50 off 37 balls. Toufik Uddin Mondal’s quick 37 off 17 deliveries boosted the total past 200 runs.
In response, Medinipur Wizards struggled to keep up with the required rate and were 95/5 in 11.5 overs when rain halted play. Due to the weather conditions, Murshidabad Kings were declared winners by 28 runs through the DLS Method. Priyanshu Gaurav Srivastava top-scored for the Wizards with 32 off 22 balls, but Murshidabad’s bowlers maintained pressure throughout the chase.
