Music producer Rao Inderjeet Singh Yadav has extended financial assistance to actor Rajpal Yadav during his challenging times. Rajpal Yadav, known for his roles in popular films like ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and ‘Hungama’, is facing financial and legal difficulties. Rao Inderjeet Singh Yadav, the owner of GemTunes Music, provided Rs 1.11 crore to support Rajpal Yadav.
Expressing his support, Rao Inderjeet Singh Yadav emphasized the significance of standing by artists beyond their on-screen personas. He highlighted Rajpal Yadav’s contributions to Indian cinema and described the aid as a gesture of solidarity in a time of need. The producer stressed the familial bond within the industry and the importance of supporting each other during challenging times.
Rajpal Yadav’s current struggles stem from a cheque bounce case dating back to around 2010. He and his wife borrowed approximately INR 5 crore for a directorial project that did not perform well commercially. As a result, they faced difficulties in repaying the loan, leading to legal repercussions under the Negotiable Instruments Act. The outstanding amount, including interest and penalties, has now escalated to an estimated INR 9 crore.
Despite several deadlines and extensions granted by the Delhi High Court, Rajpal Yadav failed to settle the dues, leading to a court directive to surrender and serve a six-month sentence at Tihar Jail in connection with the case.
