All India Muslim Jamaat President, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, has expressed his support for Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s stance on the Gaza-Palestine issue. He commended Priyanka Gandhi for advocating justice and standing with the oppressed, particularly the people of Gaza. Maulana Razvi emphasized that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi maintains good relations with Arab and Muslim countries, his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who faces corruption allegations and legal proceedings, was ill-timed.
According to Maulana Razvi, Netanyahu’s involvement in corruption and the deaths of numerous individuals, along with ongoing legal challenges against him in Israel, should have deterred Prime Minister Modi from meeting him. He highlighted Israel’s history of aggression towards Muslim nations, especially Palestinians, and underscored the global Muslim community’s opposition to Israel’s actions. Given the escalating tensions between the US and Iran, Maulana Razvi suggested that the Prime Minister should have refrained from visiting Israel in the current scenario.
Furthermore, Maulana Razvi praised Priyanka Gandhi’s consistent support for Gaza and her vocal opposition to Israel’s actions. He lauded her solidarity with the Palestinian cause, citing her symbolic gestures in Parliament and her advocacy for justice for the victims in Gaza. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had urged the Prime Minister to address the atrocities in Gaza during his Israel visit, emphasizing India’s historical commitment to truth, peace, and justice on the global stage.
