A 41-year-old Muslim man in Lahore kidnapped a 14-year-old Christian girl, Nisha Bibi, who suffers from epilepsy and mental health challenges. The man, identified as Arshad Habib, forcibly converted Nisha to Islam and married her, taking advantage of her health condition. Nisha, who worked as a domestic helper, went missing on May 12, prompting her family to seek help from the police.
The girl’s father, Abbas Masih, reported her disappearance to the police after CCTV footage showed Nisha leaving with an unidentified man. It was later revealed that the man was Habib, who had multiple previous marriages and children. The family’s lawyer, Zunara Patrick, has taken legal action against Habib, accusing him of using fabricated documents to justify the forced conversion and marriage.
Habib allegedly presented false conversion and marriage documents to authorities, claiming that Nisha willingly converted to Islam and married him. The family and their legal team have refuted these claims, emphasizing that Nisha was manipulated due to her health vulnerabilities. The case has sparked outrage and legal intervention to seek justice for Nisha and hold the perpetrator accountable.
