The Muslim party involved in the Dhar Bhojshala dispute plans to contest the Indore High Court’s ruling in the Supreme Court following the court’s decision favoring the Hindu side. Advocates for the Muslim group expressed dissatisfaction, claiming their arguments were not adequately considered during the proceedings. They intend to scrutinize the detailed court order before proceeding with the appeal.
Advocate Noor Mohammad Sheikh, representing the Muslim side, highlighted the extensive nature of the court’s order, spanning over 250 pages, necessitating a thorough review before filing a petition in the Supreme Court. Another counsel, Arshad Warsi, echoed concerns over their arguments being overlooked and emphasized the need to analyze the order comprehensively before approaching the apex court.
On the contrary, the Hindu petitioners welcomed the High Court’s judgment, labeling it as ‘historic’ and attributing the victory to those who had long fought for their religious beliefs. Advocate Shirish Dubey credited the outcome to years of struggle, acknowledging the sacrifices made by individuals who dedicated themselves to the cause. The court upheld the Hindu side’s petitions, declaring Bhojshala as a temple dedicated to Maa Saraswati, dismissing the Muslim side’s plea.
